The first ever catch on East Rail, the eccentric rail industrial district featured on Lance Mindheim's site and the site of his first layout ever done. Ted (SFLRailFan) informed me that Y220 was working East Rail and not Lehigh Spur when I was getting hosed by El Dorado when with Tony (Trainhuntersfans). When I finally got picked up, my folk and I headed on a straight shot to the district as it is known they take their sweet time over there. When I made it the train just unhooked its set out at Veco or whoever it is off of NW 59 St, a fairly new customer especially since Lance researched the area. In this video: CSX Y220-20 finishes work on Veco Enterprises off of NW 59th Street (E 5 St) and crosses NW 37th Avenue. After stopping so the fireman closes the switch to the main, the train is seen once more at NW 62nd Street (E 9th St), MP SX1035.1. CSXT 4310 (GP39-2) and 4 boxcars. Shot between 8:40 and 8:50 PM. After this shot Ted informed me that the train took the switch at 79th Street (Intermediate to Tompkins) to Track-1 and worked West Rail's industries. This area is great to railfan! Not too harsh at night.
